Overview

A Buried Scraper Conveyor (BSC) transports materials by means of a moving scraper chain inside a closed rectangular-section housing. During material conveying, the entire scraper chain is buried in the materials, hence the name "Buried Scraper Conveyor".The Buried Scraper Conveyor features excellent airtight performance. Materials are conveyed in a closed trough without spilling or leaking, and it is dust-proof, waterproof, poison-proof, and explosion-proof. This significantly improves the working environment and prevents pollution, making it an ideal material handling equipment for industrial plants.


Installation angle of Buried Scraper Conveyor: The inclination angle for upward conveying shall not exceed 25°, and for downward conveying, it shall not exceed 20°, ensuring stable and efficient material transport for production lines.

Product Classification:

  • FU-type Buried Scraper Conveyor (referred to as "Chain Conveyor"): Inclination angle 0°≤a≤15°, with a conveying capacity ranging from 6m³/h to 500m³/h, suitable for medium to large-scale material conveying needs in factories.
  • MS-type Buried Scraper Conveyor: Can be arranged horizontally or with a small inclination, inclination angle 0°≤a≤15°, and the length of a single unit shall not exceed 80m, perfect for limited-space production line layouts.
  • MC-type Buried Scraper Conveyor: Can be arranged vertically or with a large inclination, inclination angle 45°≤a≤90°, and the conveying height of a single unit shall not exceed 30m, meeting vertical material lifting requirements in industrial settings.
  • MZ-type Buried Scraper Conveyor: Can only be arranged in vertical-horizontal mode, with a conveying height of ≤20m for a single unit and a total length of the upper horizontal part ≤30m, suitable for specific vertical-horizontal material transfer scenarios in plants.

Structure of Buried Scraper Conveyor:

The Buried Scraper Conveyor is composed of scraper chain, head and tail sprockets, trough, feed inlet, discharge outlet, driving device, and tensioning device, etc., with a compact and stable structure that ensures reliable operation in industrial production.

Working Principle:

Working principle of horizontal Buried Scraper Conveyor: When the traction component and scraper pass through the materials in the smooth-surfaced trough, the materials are pushed by the scraper in the movement direction. When the internal friction between the material layers is greater than the external friction between the materials and the trough wall, the bulk materials form a continuous integral material flow and are conveyed as the scraper moves forward, ensuring smooth horizontal material transport for production lines.


Working principle of vertical Buried Scraper Conveyor: It relies on the arching property of materials. In the closed trough, in addition to the thrust of the scraper in the movement direction, the materials also receive resistance from the continuous lower feeding that prevents the upper materials from sinking, thereby generating lateral pressure and increasing the internal friction of the materials. When the internal friction between the materials is greater than the external friction between the materials and the trough wall plus the self-weight of the materials, the bulk materials form a continuous integral material flow and are conveyed as the scraper moves upward, realizing efficient vertical material lifting in industrial applications.

Main Components:

  • It is mainly composed of transmission device, chain, chute, hydraulic pushing device, chain tensioning device, etc., all of which are of high-quality to ensure the overall performance and service life of the Buried Scraper Conveyor.
  • Transmission device: Composed of motor, coupling, reducer, and main shaft. The motor is the power source of the conveyor; the coupling is the connecting device between the motor and the reducer, or between the reducer and the head main shaft; the reducer is used to reduce speed and increase transmission torque; the main shaft is the main component of the transmission device, which receives power from the motor and drives the traction chain to move, ensuring stable power output for material conveying.
  • Scraper chain: The scraper chain is the traction mechanism of the Buried Scraper Conveyor, composed of circular chain and scraper, serving as both the traction mechanism and the load pushing mechanism. The scraper is made of 16Mn, which enhances wear resistance and has high strength. There are steel brackets and guide rails under the scraper, which can prevent jamming and torsional deformation by hard objects, reduce friction between the trough and the scraper, and ensure a service life of more than 1 year, reducing the frequency of component replacement for enterprises.
